Whilst I'm in the early stages of a couple of other projects this week that I'll share once a little further along the line... here are two little charming pictures from my babies...
Lila asked me several times this week to draw her a unicorn. I didn't quite get around to it so she took matters into her own hands whilst at pre-school this week! :-)
I love her unicorn!! And I love even more that she just did it! :-)
Romy's dragon is from a while back... I love it because he drew it after I had read him a beautiful story written by Belinda Connelly at Mama Bee as part of her beautiful heart-centred parenting course, for which I had drawn the illustration.
I never try to influence the children's drawings... but clearly they take their inspiration from what is around them, and they take it in deeply... (not that there are actual dragons & unicorns living in our house! They just somehow crop up from time to time ;-)...) :-)
I also chose to post these today, because the children - particularly Lila - draw so much, that it does seem to have become a very 'ordinary' part of life... but every time they make a little break through, find a way to draw something that they didn't think they could, or that they never had before, or that you see something in those pictures - like when they draw their family for the first time pets and all and it feels like they are expressing belonging and family connectedness...
Those little ordinary moments suddenly become very special indeed!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
