About Me

My name is Abigail Cole, I am in my mid 30's and live with my young family in a beautiful Gloucestershire town in the UK.

I am a creative, caring, stay-at-home mother of two - my core purpose in life at the moment is to raise my two children as wholeheartedly as I can and to spread creative feel-good vibes through the things we make and share!

Art amidst the every-day is a passion, from little things the children create, to anything we can make from recycled materials to noticing the natural beauty in the world around us... I see my drawing as a form of storytelling that is about exploring metaphors, undercurrents and life themes in a positive way - fairy tales are not just for children!

My background is in the performing arts with two degrees in dance/movement related subjects (BA (Hons) in Dance and Culture and my MA in Somatic Studies and Laban Movement Analysis). I have always been creative, I am Reiki 1 attuned, a mummy blogger and I currently enjoy co-leading a children's craft/activity group.

In all that I do, I always seek to understand what lies beneath, with empathy, curiosity and non-judgement, be there, for my children, family and friends, remember to be playful and find ways to manifest ideas creative action.

The art in this shop is not a reflection of everything - just of what I have managed to do with my notebook and pen, laptop and smart phone, whilst mothering my two children 24/7.  I am realistic and honest about the deep challenges of motherhood, but also deeply committed to seeing the joy - and my artwork, writing, reflecting, creative life, and creating with the children is a testament to this and has illuminated the way! The real motivation in creating this shop is simply a sharing, but I would also love to be able to contribute to my family income, by being entrepreneurial with the gifts that I have and making the most of all that I have worked so hard on.

My deepest long-term aspiration is to work with children as a creative arts therapist and meditation teacher. In the meantime I'll continue to enjoy all the other things I love such as walks in nature, adventure days that don't have a plan, talking late into the magical small hours of night, crystals, books and the quality of the light in our living room in the mornings... daydreaming and working hard - but not both at the same time, and constantly trying to remember the way...

THANK YOU! - Credit where it's due...

The BIGGEST thank you to VINCE, my talented and patient husband for creating this shop/website - with his help this little business is 100% home grown - it could not have happened without him!! You are the smartest, most supportive creative collaborator and life partner in the world at it is a gift to work and share my life with you!

I hope you will enjoy some of the things I have made and maybe even buy something, for yourself or someone you love!
